Moment - Screen Time Control App Reviews

My beef with this app is that you need to allow it to track your location. No other way around it so I deleted it. Why would you NEED to track my location. There are other apps that do the same. Unless you dont care if they know youre every move, this app is no good.

it says I use my phone for 1 hour at a time and I ever really do that... fix this please

This app is simply outstanding. It took me seconds to upgrade to the full/pro version as the value you get out of this is worth way more than the money youll spend. Thumbs up!

I downloaded the app because I really like the concept and the idea but I discovered that this app works only with geolocalization set as always active. A really battery killer. So sorry I have already removed this app. As soon as it may be used without geolocalization I will certainly use it!

I was unaware of my phone use on a daily level, but when I saw stats I was so surprised. Allowed me to be a lot more productive with my time. Great app it is very well put together although it does kill battery.

I never realized how quickly the minutes rolled into hours j till I started using Moment. Since using this app to keep track of my screen time, I have been able to limit myself and keep my time in check.

Too bad as it was an interesting app. It was using 33-43% of the battery when I checked under settings. Im pretty sure the guys swore that it barely drained the battery so now Im guessing that all the privacy stuff they promised wasnt completely true. I still dont understand why they needed to track my phone location... Fishy app but it had potential. Delete!

The app website has some tips on battery use that were encouraging (Expected 5% drain). Reality in my tests turned out that Moment is using 19% battery averaged over last 7 days. 22% today. I hope this feature can someday be offered at lower battery cost. Bye for now.

I found out that Im regularly on my phone for around 6 hours a day, I still cant stop myself though, Im too much of a cheap a to upgrade. I just dont know about upgrading because what if I need to respond to an important text?

I love that this app helps me remember to get off my phone.

Hey Moment devs - why exactly does Moment need to track my location to track my usage? It makes no sense to me, and makes me wonder exactly what data the app is collecting and where its being sent. Id love to know why the two are inseparable.

I like how this app looks and appreciate the information it provides. It does, as other users have noted, drain battery pretty significantly.

I love Moment! It is an amazing app! It does not use too much battery if used properly on my iPhone 6s, and it monitors my phone usage to the dot! I upgraded to the Pro version today, lets see what it yields over the next couple of weeks ;) Thank you very much Kevin for this beautiful app!

The logo is so dull and hard to see I think it causes me to neglect using it. I wish it was more easy to spot amongst my other apps, Id be more inclined to use it.

Totally kills your battery. I was at zero by leaving work at 5pm and that is after a day barely on my phone. Dont recommend at all.

Pretty accurate tracking and great for parents to track kids online usage. Wish playing Pandora or music did not count as time online though.

This app is very useful. I would give it 5 stars but it tracks location (for no good reason) and therefore drains the battery. Heres hoping the developer updates with a version that eliminates the unnecessary location tracking.
